    Abstract:

The possibility of using Electric Furnace gases as combustible inside a Rotary Kiln is described through proper control and optimization. According to the theoretical investigation, in proper control, the Electric Furnace gases can be used as combustible inside of a Rotary Kiln. The benefits of this procedure are the drastic reduction of the production cost per ton of nickel, the reduction of mazut consumption in Rotary Kiln and the improvement of the quality of refined Fe-Ni by having less sulphur. Furthermore, the use of electric furnace gases inside the Rotary Kiln will decrease environment pollution since it releases less quantity of gases that pass through Electric Furnace scrubber. This paper describes the control and optimization of the use of electric furnace gases in Rotary Kiln.
