Joel is a senior researcher of CNRS, France. After a PhD from the University of Paris and two years post doc with Prof L. NAZAR in Waterloo, Canada and, Prof C. MASQUELIER Orsay, France, he has been awarded a permanent position at the Institute of Material Jean Rouxel in Nantes, France in the group of electrochemical storage and transformation of energy headed by Prof D. GUYOMARD. Joel has been working in the field of electrochemical storage of energy for 15 years and is the author of more than 52 papers in major international journals and 11 patents at the PCT stage and is first/corresponding author on most of his publications. According to Web of Science, Joel currently has 947 citations with 18.2 average citations/publication. His publication list is building up strongly and is being increasingly cited. Joel has also reviewed numerous papers for many journals, including: Energy Environmental Science, JACS, Chemistry of materials, Journal of Materials Chemistry, Journal of the Electrochemical Society, Electrochimica Acta, Electrochemistry Communications and Journal of Power Sources. He is a member of the French Network for Electrochemical Storage (RS2E). His interests are focused on solid state chemistry and electrochemistry, molecular grafting and wiring, electron and ion transports in porous electrodes applied to, Li- and Na-ion batteries as well as Li-Sulfur batteries and supercapacitor.
