Graduated in 1983 with Bachelor's degree from The University of Tokyo (Department of Synthetic Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering) 1985 Master of Engineering, The University of Tokyo 1988 PhD in The University of Tokyo 1988 Assistant Professor at Research Institute of Mineral Dressing and Metallurgy, Tohoku University 1995 Associate Professor at Institute for Advanced Materials Processing, Tohoku University. 2001 Full Professor at Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials, Tohoku University 2015 Director, Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials, Tohoku University 1991 Young Scientist Award of Honda Memorial Grant. 1993 Yamazaki Award 2012 Paper Award of Journal of The Japan Institute of Metals and Materials. etc.
