    200 years of basic research produced Nuclear Magnetic Resonance as it is known today, and has led to its essential role in improving daily human life. A brief history of the discoveries and developments that have paved the way to understanding Nuclear Magnetic Resonance is presented in terms of its fundamentals and applications.
