Short Bio:

Kamyar M Davoudi received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and a master’s degree in Applied Physics from Harvard University. After receiving his PhD, he became a postdoctoral fellow in Engineering Sciences as well as Applied Mathematics at Harvard, and later joined the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Alberta as an adjunct professor. He is now leading Avidemia Education, Inc., which aims to revolutionize the way that textbooks are written. His research interests include Mechanical Behavior of Materials at various scales (macro, micro, and nano scales), Computational Materials Science, Multiscale Modeling, Dislocation Theory, Generalized Continuum Mechanics, and Mathematical Modeling.
