Dr. Gour Gopal Roy, presently holds the position of Professor, Department of Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. His expertise includes: Alternative Routes of Ironmaking, Clean steel, Electron beam Welding, Modelling & Simulation. He is the recipient of Metallurgist of the Year-2015 by Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India, 2015 He has more than 100 publications in referred journals with total citations 2600 and H-index 20.
