On behalf of the co-chairs of the Sirbescu International Symposium on Geochemistry for Sustainable Development (5th Intl. This major symposium, which honors the lifetime achievements of Prof. Mona Sirbescu, will take place from 30 November to 3 December 2026 at the Rio Othon Palace Hotel, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as part of the SIPS 2026 Summit, which is dedicated to Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, Prof. Rudy Marcus.

The papers will be double peer reviewed and published in the official Publication entitled: "Sirbescu International Symposium" containing ISBN and ISSN numbers and indexed by Google Scholar joining more than 4100 SIPS articles that are already indexed in Google Scholar. FLOGEN SIPS Publications over the years have the following Google Scholar Citation Indexes: h-index=42 and i10-index=216. Furthermore, many papers upon significant updates will be subsequently published as part of special volume of a relevant Journal dedicated to this symposium.
