Now, Prof. Engang WANG is the Vice director of Key Laboratory of Electromagnetic Processing of Materials (EPM), Northeastern University, P. R. China, Vice chairman and secretary-general of the Committee of Electromagnetic Metallurgy, Chinese Society of Metals (CSM), Vice director of the Committee of Special Casting & Non-ferrous Alloys Technology, Foundry Institution of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (FICMES), the editorial board of the Journal of "Special Casting & Nonferrous Alloys", Adjunct professor of Baosteel Talent Development Institute, and the member of The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS). He obtained a B. Sci. degree in Foundry from Xi�an Jiaotong University (P. R China) in 1984, M. Sci. degree in Foundry from Harbin Institute of Technology (P. R. China) in 1987 and Ph. D. in Thermal Engineering from Northeastern University (P. R. China) in 1998. He also was a Engineer of Institute of Iron & Steel, Anshan Iron & Steel Complex (P. R. China) between 1987 and 2002. His research focuses are on the alloy solidification and fluid flow in continuous casting process especially with electromagnetic stirring (EMS), electromagnetic brake (EMBr), electromagnetic casting (EMC) and different electromagnetic fields, and also metal material science with high magnetic fields. He have published over 300 papers, 12 patents and obtained 5 awards of China Metallurgical Science and Technology and Science and Technology Progress of Liaoning Province. He was in charge of 6 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China and 3 projects of National High Tech Development of China.
