Short Bio:

Dr. Philippe Vernoux is a scientist (research director, PhD in electrochemistry in 1998 and habilitation in Catalysis in 2006) at CNRS (French National Center of Scientific Research). Dr. Ph. Vernoux has more than 120 refereed papers, 16 patents, 42 invited lectures and 150 oral communications in domains of solid state electrochemistry, environmental catalysis and Electrochemical Promotion of Catalysis. Dr. Ph. Vernoux was supervisor of 15 PhD works and 8 currently running. Dr. Ph.Vernoux is a key scientist in the international scientific community of Electrochemical Promotion of Catalysis as, for instance, the coordinator of the European Marie-Curie project EFEPOC (European Forum on Electrochemical Promotion of Catalysis, 2006-2009) and more recently as the chair of the 1st international workshop on Ionically Conducting Ceramics for Catalysis (Lyon, September 2013) and as the corresponding author of a review devoted to EPOC published in Chemical Review. He has a strong experience in the coordination of national and international projects (EFEPOC Marie Curie Project, ADEME PIREP, ANR PIREP2,…). Dr. Philippe Vernoux is currently the manager of the department “Characterization and remediation of pollutants in air and water (CARE)” at the Institute of Research on Catalysis and Environment of Lyon in France. Philippe has the chance and the honor to collaborate with Professor C.G. Vayenas for almost 2 decades.
