Short Bio:

Damien Dambournet obtained his PhD in 2008 in solid-state chemistry under the supervision of Alain Tressaud and Alain Demourgues. He then moved to the US to work at Argonne National Laboratory (Chicago) as a postdoc where he stayed for three years to work on electrode materials for batteries. In 2011, he was hired as an assistant professor at the PHENIX laboratory located at Pierre and Marie Curie University (which became Sorbonne University in 2018), Paris. In 2015, he was appointed associated professor. He is an active member of the French research network on electrochemical energy storage (RS2E) and French network on fluorine chemistry (GIS-Fluor). His current research interests focused on the synthesis and advanced characterizations of disordered inorganic materials and the evaluation of their electrochemical properties. He is currently focusing on prospective researches aiming at developing new electrochemical storage devices such rechargeable multivalent (Mg2+, Al3+) and fluoride ions batteries. He is the co-author of 50 publications and 5 patents.
