PRACTICAL INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS & ATTENDEES:

GROUND TRANSPORTATION:
The Hilton Phuket Arcadia is located a one-hour drive away from Phuket International Airport. Car rentals are available on the first floor of the International Terminal from various services such as Avis, Budget, Europacar, Hertz, etc. An international driving license is required to drive a car in Thailand.

There are also taxi services available on the first floor of the International Terminal. Local taxi rates to reach the hotel should be around 1,100.00 THB. There are further details on all available taxi and car rental services at https://phuket.airportthai.co.th/transportations

HOTEL AMMENITIES:
The Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort and Spa offers a variety of services. These include baggage storage, ATMs, currency exchange, free Wi-Fi in public areas, laundry service, local area transportation, safety deposit boxes, a hair salon, childcare services, and much more. For a full list of amenities and services, please refer to this link: https://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/thailand/hilton-phuket-arcadia-resort-and-spa-HKTHIHI/about/amenities.html

MONEY EXCHANGE AND BANKING:
There are various places to exchange money at the airport and ATMs are also available. Remember to notify your bank before withdrawing money in Thailand. ATMs and currency exchange are also offered at the hotel.

ELECTRICITY:
Thailand uses 220V AC and 50 Hz. Power outlets often accommodate both two-prong round and flat sockets. If you are from the U.S.A, Canada or South America, you may require a voltage converter. Check the labels on your appliances. If they state 'INPUT: 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz', you can safely plug in your appliances anywhere without worrying about voltage conversion. This is very common for laptops, cameras, cellphone chargers, etc.

RECREATIONAL SERVICES:
The hotel offers a variety of recreational services such as a fitness center, tennis and squash courts, a sauna, a spa and Thai cooking classes.

Recreational activities organized by FLOGEN can also be seen at: https://www.flogen.org/sips2021/page.php?p=41
