Niloy Kumar Nath

Short Bio:

I did my B.E. Metallurgical Engineering withy Honours from Jadavpur University in 1987, and M.Tech (1989) and Ph.D Metallurgy from IIT Kanpur in 1995. I did my Post Doctoral fellowship in UFF, Brazil. My specialization is in Metallurgical process modelling and simulation in the area of Ironmaking and Steelmaking. In iron making and related areas I have worked in iron ore Sintering process modelling & optimization, Blast furnace gas flow and fuel injection, and other gas-solid reaction such as Reduction roasting of Nickeliferrous ore. In Steelmaking I have done modelling and simulation of industrial processes such as Secondary Steelmaking, Tundish flow and Superheat control, Continuous casting and Steel reheating in both batch and continuous type furnace.
