Short Bio:Maude Jimenez is Professor at Lille University in France. She graduated from the National School of Chemistry of Lille (ENSCL, Lille, France) in 2003 and obtained the same year a research master degree in organic and macromolecular chemistry. She defended her PhD in 2006 on the development of intumescent coatings for steel structures, in partnership with a British company. She then got a position as assistant professor in Lille University (France) in the Unit of Materials and Transformations (UMET) to develop surface treatments for flame retardant applications, but also for biomaterials, glass treatments and antifouling applications. She obtained in 2013 the French “Habilitation to supervise research” (HDR) and became in 2016 Professor in Lille University and has been Full Professor since 2022.
