EDUCATION
In 2012, Dr. Go Kimura received a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Basel ("Design of pharmaceutical tablet formulation for a low water soluble drug: Search for the critical concentration of starch based disintegrant applying percolation theory and F-CAD (Formulation-Computer Aided Design) ").
In 1999, he received Master of Pharmacy at Kyoto Pharmaceutical University.
In 1997, he registered as Pharmacist.
EMPLOYMENT HISTORY and RELATED ACTIVITIES
In 2021, he became Senior director of Formulation R&D laboratory at Shionogi & Co., Ltd.
In 2020, he became Senior director of Manufacturing technology Unit at Shionogi Pharma Co., Ltd and Outside director Shionogi Business Partner Co., Ltd.
In 1999, he joined Shionogi & Co., Ltd. and worked in Formulation R&D Laboratory.
In recent years, focusing the pharmaceutical formulation researches on "Speeding up product development based on science", "Further utilizing the continuous manufacturing technology", "Creating new value for products using the spray freeze-drying technology", "Developing medical devices associated with vaccine product development" and “Development of sustained-release oral and injectable formulations.”
AWARDS
In 2024, he received Ciechanover International Biology Award at Sustainability through Science and Technology 2024 (SIPS2024).
In 2015, he received Asahi Kasei Young Investigator Award from The Academy of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, Japan (APSTJ).
In 2014, he received Postdoctoral Presentation Award from The APSTJ.
