Short Bio:

Johnny Maycon is the Mayor of Nova Friburgo, Rio de Janeiro, recognized for his leadership, public service, and commitment to sustainable urban development. Born and raised in Nova Friburgo, he holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and built a successful engineering career before entering public life.

Elected as a City Councilor in 2016, he became Mayor in 2020 and was re-elected in 2024 with the largest vote in the city's history. His administration has focused on modernizing public services, strengthening municipal governance, promoting economic development, and improving quality of life. Guided by strong family values, faith, and a deep connection to his community, Johnny Maycon continues to lead initiatives that contribute to the sustainable growth and resilience of Nova Friburgo.
