Prof.–Dr. Andrey N. Dmitriev is a noted scientist in the field of the development of a scientific basis for the complex use of mineral raw materials. He studies the basic scientific direction, development, and perfection of mathematical models and their use for the analysis and optimization of processes involving ores. For the first time, he has developed and introduced a method of analytical research for blast furnace smelting on the basis of complex two-dimensional mathematical models that essentially supplement the experimental methods used in practice. He has also developed the scientific basis for the application of computer methods for the analysis and perfection of pyrometallurgy processes; an original technique for the influence estimation of iron ore raw materials and coke quality as indicators in blast furnace smelting; and an original technique for the monitoring system of the firebrick lining state of the blast furnace hearth intended for emergency prevention. The scientific ideas and development stemming from his work are used to create and perfect technologies for the processing of titan-ferrous magnetite, chromic iron ores, silicate-nickel iron ores, siderite iron ores, leucoxene concentrates used for the elimination of the existing deficiency in the Ural of the steel-making iron ore raw material, and the raw materials for manufacturing the pigment dioxide of titan and scrap.
Additionally, he developed and introduced the monitoring system of the firebrick lining state of the blast furnace hearth on five blast furnaces of China, earning the Silver Medal at the Metal-Expo’2014 in Russia; the Award of the Governor of Sverdlovsk Region, 2015; Diploma of 1 degree; and the Gold Medal of the Petersburg Engineering Fair, 2016.

Additional areas of his work include implementing the concept of commissioning actual Kachkanarsky field of titanomagnetite ores and the beginning of an examination of the use of ores from the Gusevogorsky deposit. He has also contributed to the Institute of Metallurgy of UB RUS in the field of processing, specifically work that generalised titancontaining iron ores and created the concept in Russia productions of pigmentary titanium dioxide on the basis of South Ural deposits and the Komi Republic. In addition to the scheme of processing of titanomagnetite iron ores of the Tebinbulak deposit (Republic of Uzbekistan) offered earlier, “metallization – electromelting”, his work has contributed “the blast furnace – the converter” scheme and forumated conditions that allow for selecting and implementing one of these schemes. He also took part in a project that examined the processing of titan-containing ores from the Masalsky deposit (Republic of Kazakhstan). Moreover, he is the leader of investigations on experimental and mathematical modeling of pyrometallurgy processes, the “Ural” regional program, the “State Support of Integration of Higher Education and Fundamental Science” federal program – working with industrial enterprises, grants of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, and the international programs. He is the author of 8 monographs, more than 350 articles; and 12 inventions; has participated as a lecturer (including invited lecturer) at many conferences, including international ones; and was the official opponent at the defence of 9 doctoral theses and 12 candidate’s degree theses. In addition, he has served as the head of 3 post-graduate students.
Notably, Prof. Dmitriev is an expert of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Federal Research Centre for Projects Evaluation and Consulting Services, and a member of the editorial boards of a number of Russian and foreign magazines.
He graduated from the Ural Polytechnic Institute in 1973 with a qualification as a metallurgical engineer. Currently, he serves as the chief scientific employee of the Institute of Metallurgy of the Urals Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Technical Sciences; full member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences; full member of the Academy of Engineering Sciences of the Russian Federation named A.M. Prokhorov; and professor at the Ural Federal University; member of the NP “Expert Forum”. He is also a current member of the Presidium of Regional Ural Branch of Academy of Engineering Sciences of the Russian Federation named A.M. Prokhorov, Russian Academy of Natural History (RANH), Russian Chemical Society named D.I. Mendeleev, Academy of Natural History, TMS (The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society),

Doctor and Master Science in Materials Engineering and Metallurgy by Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro-Brazil. Now is a Senior Researcher Professor at Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering Department of College of Geological, Mining and Metallurgical Engineering - FIGMM of the National University of Engineering-UNI and Chief of Ironmaking and Steelmaking Researcher Group FIGMM UNI. Prof. Gomez-Marroquin is the founding partner and the first president of the board of directors of Metallurgy, Materials and Minerals Peruvian Association-APMMM. Today, she is working in characterizations of different nature biomass such as biochar from olive stone and chicken eggshell for recovering heavy metals from mining wastes. Has been working on the following subjects: recovering metals of Linz Donawitz sludge (LDS), Electric Arc Furnace Dusts (EAFD), and Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) using techniques of self-reduction and carbothermic reduction. Also, she had worked in reduction by CO-CO2 mixtures gases of zinc ferrite pure and zinc ferrite present into Electric Arc Furnace Dusts - EAFD using different techniques as such: X-Ray Diffraction (using the Rietveld method), Transmission Electron Microscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy. About ZF pure and present into EAFD, she has researches that had been onsets with the characterization of the compounds present in EAFD - Iron (III) oxide, zinc oxide & zinc ferrite - using techniques, methodologies, and equipment for thermal characterization (DTA-TGA), structural (XRD), microscopic (SEM-TEM coupled to EDS), physical (briquette porosity, specific gravity, average size & particle specific surface) and chemical analysis by Absortion Atomic and Fluorescence Spectrometer.

Yakov graduated as a Metallurgical Engineer from the Ural State Technical University in Russia, where he also obtained his Ph.D and Doctor of Technical Science Degrees. Professor of Metallurgical Furnaces Department from 1974 to 1995, Consultant at Hatch Iron & Steel business unit from 1996 up to now, where he holds his current position as Technical Director - Ironmaking.

The principal areas of Yakov’s engineering, consulting and research work are blast furnaces, coke making, alternative ironmaking, sintering and pelletizing. Yakov is the author of 2 monographs, 7 student text books (in Russian), over 200 papers, and 27 International Patents.

In 2015 Yakov was awarded by AIST’s “Howe Memorial Lecture Award” for his contribution to development and practical implementation of new innovative technologies and technical solutions into Iron & Steel Industry.

In 2019 Yakov became AIST’s “Distinguished Member and Fellow”.

Madali Naimanbayev, Ph.D. (1985), member of the International Professorial Association (1997), member of the European Academy of Natural Sciences (2017).
In 1975 he graduated from the metallurgical faculty of the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute in Almaty. In 1975-1988 He worked at the AchisaiPolymetallic Combine, going from the master of the metallurgical plant to the chief engineer of the Achisai mine. From 1988 to 1991, he worked at the Chimkent Lead Plant as deputy chief engineer and deputy director of the enterprise.
At the end of 1991, he moved to Almaty, where until 1994 he worked as vice-president of the ASPEC Association, from 1994-1995 - deputy general director of the financial and industrial company KAZMETALL, in 1995-1998. - manager in financial structures (KAZKOM, BTA), in 1998-2002. - Deputy Director of the Department of Communal Property Management of the city of Almaty, in 2002-2007, Chief Consultant of the consulting firm NPV, from 2007 to the present - at the Institute of Metallurgy and Enrichment JSC in the laboratory of titanium and rare refractory metals.
Twice (2014-2016) he received a state scholarship of the Republic of Kazakhstan "for his outstanding contribution to the development of science." The main areas of research Naymanbayeva MA are the development of technologies for processing Kazakhstani titanium-containing raw materials of complex composition with a high content of impurities, complex processing of titanium-magnetite concentrates to produce high-quality pig iron and titanium-containing slag, as well as for the production of pigmentary titanium dioxide from substandard middlings. A special place in the works of MA.Naimanbayeva takes the creation of technologies for the extraction of rare earth metals from various types of mineral and technogenic raw materials. He is also an active publicist, his articles on topical issues of social development are published in the media.
Naimanbayev M.A. published over 200 scientific papers, he is the author of more than 35 inventions. For the aggregate of these studies in 2017, he was awarded the Wilhelm Leibnitz Medal, the founder and first President of the Berlin Academy of Sciences, by the European Academy of Natural Sciences

Fmr. Chief Scientist, & Advisor Management and Prof. Academics of Scientific and Industrial Research University at National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jmshedpur 831007, India, received his B Tech (1974), M.Tech (1976 Dissertation: Non-Newtonian Fluids flow past a sphere) in Major Chemical .Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) , Benaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. He began his career working (1976-79) for Heavy Indian Chemical Industries as Production, Planning, and Process Control Engineer at Gujrat and subsequently (1980) as Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur , India, before Joining (1981) National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML) at Jamshedpur as Scientist. The Dissertation on the research project: “Non-isothermal kinetics of Iron ore reduction” awarded him PhD (1988) in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur. Further his R&D Activities at NML involved conducting and guiding researches in smelting reduction of pre- and direct reduced iron processes, mathematical modelling of silicon control in blast furnace, assessment of performance characteristics of iron making raw materials under simulating conditions of various ferrous processes. He as Academic Visitor (1991-93) at Imperial College of Science, Engineering and Medicine London UK studied Computational fluid dynamics of some essential features of Basic Oxygen Furnace steelmaking reactors (British Steel UK) to ameliorating the fluid flow phenomena in steel bath to improve process efficiency and product quality.
He continued serving NML as Head-Business Development & Monitoring Division and Co-ordinator Intellectual Property Cell to Developing Business for R&D products, processes, technologies and services of NML. During this period he (2009-2011) offered Consultancy to The Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI) for establishing metallurgical and corrosion laboratories at Trinidad. Dr. Prakash continued his Research and Innovations as Head Metal Extraction and Forming Division, Chief Scientist and Professor ACSIR, New Delhi at NML by conducting and managing the R&D activities in the area of metal extraction and guiding research associates for carrying out projects sponsored by Indian metallurgical industries including delivering lectures in the area of process metallurgy at NML and other National and International academic institutions in India and abroad until his superannuation in 2014. He (2014-2018) offered courses in Process Metallurgy as Visiting Professor to Taita Taveta University and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT)at Kenya as well to the Universities in Freiberg Germany and Luxemburg. His specialisations include Transport Phenomena; Computational and Experimental Modelling in Chemical and Metallurgical processes; High temperature non-isothermal kinetics; smelting reduction kinetics, computational fluid dynamics application in metallurgical processes, assessment of performance characteristics of raw materials, Newtonian and non-Newtonian high temperature fluids (BF and BOF slags) rheology, Energy and environment as pertaining to advanced and alternative routes of iron and steel making processes .
He delivered keynote lectures in various International Conferences and Symposiums and offered courses in process metallurgy to various Universities and Institutions in India and abroad including The Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, UK, Japan, Malaysia, Canada, Trinidad, China, Indonesia; Mexico , Brazil, Columbia, USA.
He has more than 200 publications in Sci Journals and Conference proceedings including Technical Project reports, Edited and contributed Books on Transport Phenomena and Principles of Metallurgical Process. These publications resulted from various research projects and dissertations leading to award of the Ph.Ds, M.Techs and B.Techs in Process Metallurgy Major and Ferrous Metallurgy Minor. Some of His publications and research and innovation projects, Technologies earned Awards & Distinctions by Indian Institute of Metal, British Council London, Indian Industrial Economic Forum, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi India and RECOM International Award by KIGAM Daejeon South Korea.

Prof. Tsepelev Vladimir was born in Yekaterinburg, Russia on January 10th, 1949. Received Doctor Degree in Metallurgy of Ferrous and non-ferrous metals from Boris Yeltzin Ural Federal University on 1998, with major field of study was Material Engineering, Amorphous and Nanocrystalline Materials. In 1998, as director Tsepelev Vladimir headed Research Center of Liquid Metal Physics. In 2000 he was Full Professor of Chair Health and Safety Department of Fundamental Education Boris Yeltzin Ural Federal University. In In 2002 he was elected an Academician of the Engineering Academy named after A.M. Prokhorov. His research interests cover subjects such as, waste recycle, metallurgy, composite, renewable energy, environmental friendly manufacturing, study the physical properties of liquid metal at high temperatures, the development of technologies for the production of amorphous and nanocrystalline soft magnetic materials with unique magnetic properties, the preparation of amorphous high-entropy solders. Tsepelev Vladimir has a Diploms of the winner of the international exhibitions and scientific competitions, the title of the Veteran of Labour, Diploma of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, Honorary Worker of higher school Russian Federation. Winner of the prize-medal named after Professor A.S. Popov. He was awarded the Orders of the first and second degree "A.M. Prokhorov". In 2020, he was awarded the Honorary Badge "Knight of Science and Art" of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
