Yan Yang is a professor from Chongqing University, China, and managing editor of Journal of Magnesium and Alloys (JMA, IF in 2023 is 15.8). She received her Doctor’s degree in Materials Science & Engineering at Chongqing University in 2013. Prof. Dr. Yang also studied and worked at the University of California, Davis, and University of California, Irvine.
Prof. Yang’s research focuses mainly on magnesium alloy and advanced processing technology for Mg alloys. She has published over 70 peer-reviewed journal papers and given over 20 conference presentations. Her publications have received ~2100 citations, with an h-index of 21. She has been awarded 3 Provincial-Level Science and Technology Awards in China. She was the secretary general of the International Conference on Magnesium Alloys from the 4th to 7th. As the managing editor of the Journal of Magnesium and Alloys (JMA), Prof. Yan Yang makes important contributions to the development of JMA.
