Professor Raman Singh’s primary research interests are in the relationship of Nano-/microstructure and Environment-assisted degradation and fracture of metallic and composite materials, and Nanotechnology for Advanced Mitigation of such Degradations. He has also worked extensively on use of advanced materials (e.g., graphene) for corrosion mitigation, and on stress corrosion cracking, and corrosion and corrosion-mitigation of magnesium alloys (including for the use of magnesium alloys for bioimplant, aerospace and defence applications).
Prof Singh’s professional distinctions and recognitions include: Editor of a book on Cracking of Welds (CRC Press), Lead Editor of a book on Non-destructive Evaluation of Corrosion (Wiley), Editor-in-Chief of two journals, leader/chairperson of a few international conferences and 38 plenary/keynote lectures at international conferences, over 255 peer-reviewed international journal publications and 15 book chapters and several competitive research grants. Prof Singh has supervised 50 PhD students. His vibrant research group at Monash University comprises of PhD students from different disciplines (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials and Mining Engineering, and Science) as well as from different cultural backgrounds (Australian, Middle-eastern, Chinese, Malaysian, Indian, African, North American and Israeli).

Head of Corrosion Control Lab and VIB Lab (Lab for Research and Innovations of Batteries) at Technical University of Košice, Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling, Broker at the Promatech Center for Advanced Materials and Technologies at the Slovak Academy of Sciences and Vice-president at Slovak Association for Surface Treatment, Advisor for Clean Technologies at Kosice Self-Government Region, Advisor for e-Mobility at Government Office for Research and Innovations in Slovakia. He served as co-chair at Batteries Europe Task Force Safety and as representative of Slovakia in Clean Hydrogen Partnership and European Defence Agency. His research is focused on application of nanotechnologies in medicine, application of artificial neural networks in prediction of the life-time of materials and safety issues.

Prof. Fuhui WANG was born in 1960, received his B.S. degree in Materials Science from the Harbin Engineering University in 1983 and M.S. degree Materials Sciences from Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1986 and Ph.D degree in Corrosion and Protection from Institute of Corrosion and Protection of Metals, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1992.. Prof. WANG has been a full professor in the Institute of Corrosion and Protection of Metals, since 1994 and was Deputy Director of the institute from 1998 to 1999. In 1999, he was appointed as the director of the State Key Lab for Corrosion and Protection, Institute of Metal Research, CAS, and as Chairman of High Temperature Committee of Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection in 2001. Prof. Fuhui WANG worked in Technical University of Munich, Germany for one year and in University of New South Wales, Australia for six months. He was appointed as members of Editorial Advisory Board of Anti-Corrosion Methods and Materials, UK, Editor in-chief of Corrosion Science and Protection Technology(Now, Corrosion Communications) and Associate editor of npj: Materials Degradations,China in 2004. His main research interests are both on fundamental and application research of corrosion at high temperatures including oxidation and hot corrosion resistant nanocrystalline coatings, synergistic effect of solid NaCl and water vapor on corrosion of materials at intermediate high temperatures(300-600oC), protective coatings for turbine blades such aluminide, MCrAlY, TiAlN and enamel coatings. Now he opens his new research directions of corrosion and protection of magnesium alloys and organic nano-paints. Prof. WANG received Young Scientists and Engineers Award presented by International Union of Materials in 1993 in Japan, Young Expert Title of Outstanding Achievements, CAS in 1994 and Innovation Award of Science and Technology for Young Scientists, CAS in 2001.In 2014, Prof. Wang was elected to be President of Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection. In 2016 he moved to the Northeastern University, Shenyang China. So far he has authored and co-authored more than 400 scientific publications in international journals.
