
With over twenty years of experience in carbon materials, Mauro Giorcelli, an Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Science and Technology (DISAT) at Politecnico di Torino, is internationally recognized as an expert in Biochar for innovative applications. After completing his engineering studies, he pursued a career in physics and research, focusing on sustainability and carbon footprint reduction, with a particular emphasis on material properties.
He has authored over 100 scientific articles, accumulating more than 2,000 citations. Additionally, he has participated in numerous national and international engagements including ICHAR (Biochar Italian association) as board member and Biochar Europe as scientific council member. His extensive international collaborations have further solidified his reputation as a leader in the field of Biochar.
