SYMPOSIUM and ROUND TABLE TOPICS

The Human body is a complex system that incorporates in itself all fields of sciences, technology and engineering without any artificial distinctions between them. Abolishing diseases, repairing or replacing damaged parts, or simply improving quality of human life have been a long quest of human race. This requires a multidisciplinary approach to address the complexity of the human body. In fact, the human life itself does not distinguish between physics, inorganic, organic, electro, solid-state or physical chemistry, or any other artificial divisions devised by mankind.

This is where this symposium takes its inspiration from. The following multidisciplinary subjects as applied to all biological systems, such as cardiovascular, nervous and immune systems, will be incorporated:
- Surgery and its various specialities
- Medical Fields
- Biochemistry and Biophysics
- Biomedical and Chemical Engineering
- Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Biocomputational sciences.

The topics will include but are not limited to:
1) Innovations applied in medical fields (cardiology, dermatology, gastroenterology, internal medicine, nephrology, neurology, oncology, pulmonology, rheumatology, hepatology, ophthalmology, etc.)
2) Biomaterials: design, synthesis and applications in medicine
3) Technologies in different fields of surgery (general, cardiac, pediatric surgery, orthopedic, plastic, neurosurgery, thoracic, vascular, anesthesia, etc.)
4) Drug design and development
5) Nanoparticles: applications in medicine
6) Biomedical and biomechanical engineering
7) Optical and biological sensors
8) Innovations in drug and gene delivery; gene therapy
9) Cell therapy, stem cell, tissue engineering research, regenerative medicine
10) Biostatistics, bioinformatics, biocomputational sciences, Artificial intelligence
11) Digital technologies in epidemiology, palliative care, nutrition
12) Biological and Physiological Monitoring and Modeling
13) Biomaterials and Bionanotechnology
14) Computational Neuroscience
