FLOGEN Code of Conduct

FLOGEN Stars Outreach, as organizers of SIPS (Sustainable Industrial Processing Summit), are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers.

Our Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behavior expected from all participants to ensure a positive and enriching experience for everyone involved.

  1. Respect and Inclusivity
    • Treat all attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers with respect, kindness, and consideration, regardless of their background, identity, or beliefs.
    • Participants shall communicate respectfully with FLOGEN staff. No aggressive behavior, rudeness, or yelling toward FLOGEN staff, or any attempt to form any other ties besides strict working relations, will be tolerated, and immediate measure of expulsion from the conference without refund will be taken.
    • Embrace diversity and inclusivity, fostering an environment where everyone feels valued, safe, and empowered to participate.
  2. Professionalism
    • Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions, both in-person and online, reflecting positively on yourself and the conference.
    • Communicate respectfully and courteously with fellow participants, refraining from disruptive or offensive behavior.
  3. Collaboration and Engagement
    • Engage actively and constructively in conference activities, sessions, and discussions, contributing to the exchange of ideas and knowledge.
    • Foster a spirit of collaboration and teamwork, recognizing the collective value of diverse perspectives and expertise.
  4. Compliance with Policies
    • Adhere to all conference policies, including those related to conduct, harassment, discrimination, and safety.
    • Familiarize yourself with the conference guidelines and procedures and cooperate with organizers and staff members to ensure a smooth and successful event.
  5. Zero Tolerance for Harassment and Discrimination
    • The conference has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or any form of unwelcome or offensive behavior.
    • Harassment includes but is not limited to verbal or written comments, visual images, deliberate intimidation, stalking, unwanted attention, and any other inappropriate conduct.
  6. Reporting Mechanism
    • If you experience or witness any violations of the Code of Conduct, please report them promptly to conference organizers or staff members.
    • All reports will be taken seriously and addressed promptly and confidentially, with the utmost respect for the privacy and well-being of the individuals involved.
  7. Enforcement
    • Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in appropriate disciplinary action, including but not limited to warning, expulsion from the conference without refund, and prohibition from attending future events.
    • Conference organizers reserve the right to take any necessary actions to maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants.
Anyone engaging in bad behaviour may be asked to leave the summit and may be refused to participate in future SIPS at the sole discretion of FLOGEN Stars Outreach.
