The undergraduate program was created in 1948, and in 1964 the graduate program was launched. Since then, it has been rated as one of the best in the country. The graduate program is rated at the top four in the country, with the highest grade given by CAPES evaluation. It has a significant presence in the national and international scientific community, and a strong interaction with industry. Our students are encouraged to participate in interchange experiences, and in extra-curricular activities such as Scientific Initiation, the Baja and robotics teams. In general, the alumni are very well rated in the job market. In this presentation I will present some initiatives and perspectives in our department in the Brazilian context. |
