Short Bio:

Graduated Metallurgical Engineer in 1960 at Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, Brazil. In 1971 obtained the Ph.D. degree at University of Sheffield, England, and in 1980 got the Free Docent degree at Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo. Retired Professor from the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering of the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo. From 1963 to 1987 was researcher at the Corrosion and Electrodeposition Laboratory, which was founded by him, in the Technological Research Institute of the State of São Paulo (IPT). Published more than 260 technical papers, related mostly to corrosion of metals.
