Saint Florian - God of Fire and Metallurgy

Saint Florian for Central Europe (Poland, Austria and Germany) and especially Poland is the God of Fire and Metallurgy. Among others he is the protector of the city of Krakow which has a City Gate and a Boulevard after his name.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of KGHM, a big company of metals in the world, a statue of St. Florian as God of Fire and Metallurgy was erected in the middle of the main open square in front of the company's main site.
