Prof. Randy W. Schekman, University of California, Berkeley, USA, was honored by FLOGEN with the 2014 Shechtman International Leadership Award (Official Award Web site here ) at FLOGEN's 2014 Sustainable Industrial Processing Summit (SIPS 2014) in Cancun, Mexico, August 2014.

2014 Shechtman International Leadership Award is one of the most prestigious FLOGEN awards named after Prof. Dan Shechtman, 2011 Nobel Laureate.

Following on the footsteps of other FLOGEN award recipients who have subsequently achieve further recognition, Prof. Randy W. Schekman, University of California, Berkeley, USA, is elected in October 2014, Member of the Institute of Medicine (IOM), now the National Academy of Medicine (NAM).
